Dr Claudia De Freitas
Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVSClaudia graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2022 and then spent a year working at a branch of the Garden Route SPCA, and State Vet in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, South Africa. After a year of welfare work, Claudia decided to pursue her passion of small animals, coupled with the adventure of moving abroad, and joined Charter Vets. In particular, Claudia has an interest in small animal Internal Medicine and Surgery.
In her spare time, Claudia really enjoys the outdoors – in particular hiking with her husband, and their dog, Khaleesi. On her down days she also enjoys crocheting in the company of her cats at home.

Jessica Munday
Veterinary Surgeon
BVetMed MRCVSJess graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2015 and has worked in small animal practice since. Before joining Charter Vets, Jess spent some time travelling around Australia and New Zealand with her husband, and volunteered at a charity veterinary practice in the Cook Islands.
Jess enjoys small animal general practice, and is particularly interested in feline medicine. She has two cats at home – Olive and Ron.
In her spare time, Jess enjoys horse riding and various arts and crafts. She always has a crochet project on the go and especially enjoys pottery painting.

Marion Collins
Practice Co-ordinator
Marion has been the Practice Co-ordinator at Charter vets since 2022. She strives to ensure smooth operations, and excellent client care. Marion has a deep love for animals, and is passionate about providing the best service to our clients, and their pets. Outside of work she is a proud parent to three beloved dogs, Tilly, Lola and Jess.

Lisa Stordy
Head Nurse
RVNLisa started at Charter Vets in 2013 whilst attending an extended Diploma Level 3 in Animal Management, at Reaseheath college.
After completing her Diploma, she went on to university to qualify as a Registered Veterinary Nurse.

Claire Palin
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNClaire started training to be a veterinary nurse in 2004 at a referral hospital. She moved to a first opinion practice when she qualified in 2006.
She enjoys all aspects of nursing but has a keen interest in nursing clinics, and clinical coaching. Claire joined Charter in 2020.

Hannah Cotterill
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNHannah started her Veterinary career as a Veterinary Care Assistant, working nights at our 24hr hospital in Hartford.
She then transferred to Congleton to start her nurse training and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2022.

Rebecca Dawes
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNBecky graduated in 2024 from Harper Adams University with a degree in small animal veterinary nursing. As part of her degree, she completed an industrial placement at the Newcastle-under-Lyme branch of Charter Vets. In her spare time, she enjoys watching football, and spending time with her family, horses, and whippet.

Sam Dooley
Receptionist
Sam joined the reception team in October 2024. Sam lives locally and knows many clients through walking her two Staffordshire Bull Terriers called Chester and Tilly, she is looking forward to making some more relationships with other pet owners through her role.
Sam has completed her BVRA Foundation course and worked within administration most of her working life.
Weekends are kept very busy with her 2 children, she loves bargain hunting and in the evenings a good tv drama!

She has been passionate about animals and nature for as long as she can remember. When she isn’t at work, she enjoys spending quality time with her 2 young boys hiking and exploring the great outdoors!
